FDP on a long journey

In initiated circles it is called, the FDP was preparing for her party on Thursday a surprise to, but still possible nothing is to become public.
Maybe they are indeed from the slogan: "Set sail and keep the storm track."
That would not be surprising terms from the shipping accompany the party, since Guido Westerwelle took (!) The liberal ship and made a lot of steam.
But now it is in the polls down to the speed of a sinking submarine - and opinion as to whether the FDP chairman than to ordinary seaman is good (such as Edmund Stoiber said) or it has the makings of a mate (as Guido's new friend Horst Seehofer would have us believe), vary widely.
It smells like Mutiny on the Bounty. The question no longer seems that Guido Captain remains, but only if the titles newspapers: "The pilot leaves the ship" or "The rats are leaving the sinking ship.
defiantly proclaimed Guido Westerwelle: "I leave the deck not when it's stormy." And that is - for lack of alternatives in the human FDP - even more likely. Presumably, the power of liberal rebel does the congress in Stuttgart, only a pilot's Choir.
The warbles as a surprise the new party anthem - for Guido an appropriate song by Freddy Quinn: "Seaman, let the dream, think not at home, your home is the sea, your friends are the stars ..."
